| Pub's Archival Illustrator Creates New Video-Drawing... |
|
Check out this politically-charged video-illustration from Michael Arthur, set to the new single, God Loves My Country, by Balthrop, Alabama from their upcoming EP of the same name. This video was made in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
Joe's Pub's archival illustrator, Michael Arthur, whose blog tracks his musical experiences through his writing and inimitable drawings, has begun working hand-in-hand with Brooklyn's own folk-rock gem Balthrop, Alabama. Michael has been doing on-the-spot drawings invoked by Balthrop's live music, and then editing the recorded drawing process into evocative video stories.
They will be presenting this unique collaboration LIVE at Joe's Pub in an event called Chalk Talk on Friday, April 18th, 2008 at 7PM, presented in association with the Green Apple Festival.
