Here's a little SAT question for you:

PIZZA : NEW YORK CITY CUISINE  ::

c) JOE'S PUB: NEW YORK CITY MUSIC SCENE
d)  PERAMBULATE : TRIANGULATE
e) huh?

According to this week's Travel Section in the New York Times, the correct answer is C!  Seth Kugel's article, entitled "Balcony? Not at These Intimate Listening Spots" for the Weekend in New York feature, highlights New York's best intimate music spots, and you guessed it, Joe's Pub made the cut.

Here's what he had to say:
"Mentioning small sites in New York without mentioning Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater would be like writing about New York cuisine and leaving out pizza. Big names and future big names come through. Their Web site allows you to search by just about every genre in existence short of yodeling (though that’s theoretically part of world music). There are several shows a night, seven nights a week; you can reserve a table if you’re going to order dinner from the Italian menu; otherwise, your ticket guarantees entrance only." - New York Times

Come to think about it, the yodeling category might be a useful one to add. But either way, we love the Times -- and some of the other venues they mention are pretty rad too.  Check out the May and June calendars to see what we've got coming up.
